The Bay and Whit Card initiative has just launched an all NEW WEBSITE

If you would like to feature on the home page for FREE, telephone 01227 868515.

Customers no longer need to carry a loyalty card; they can take an image from the website and put it on a mobile phone. Please accept the BAY or WHIT Card image on a mobile phone, in the same way as you would the loyalty card.
The new website has been supported by a community grant from County Councillors Jean Law, David Hirst, Mark Dance and Michael Harrison.

RE-LAUNCH OF THE BAY & WHIT CARD
We are proposing to re-launch the BAY & WHIT Card with a marketing campaign to encourage more people to use the loyalty cards. New promotional offers, discounts and cardholder incentives.
We are planning a new style card and a campaign to encourage more new businesses to join the scheme.

We currently have 43,000 BAY / WHIT Cards in circulation throughout the area and we hope you have benefited from the scheme.

FREE CAR PARKING!
We introduce a FREE Car Parking scheme for the three Saturdays running up to Christmas, for the first 100 vehicles in each town.  The results were outstanding, 100 BAY Card holders entered the car park within 55 minutes of the promotion starting and received 3 hours free car parking.  We plan to hold other promotions using the BAY / WHIT Cards in 2010.

NEW WEBSITE!
We are developing the loyalty card scheme by introducing a dedicated website for the BAY Card in Herne Bay and the WHIT Card in Whitstable.  The website: www.baywhitcard.co.uk will go ‘live’ at the end of the January 2010. We have given businesses a better profile, promoting your promotional offer / discount.  There is an easy to use search facility to find businesses / offers.

Put your BAY / WHIT Cards on your mobile phone!
There is a feature on the website, where you can take a photo on your mobile phone of the BAY / WHIT Cards, then bring up the image on your mobile phone and use it in the same principle as the BAY / WHIT Card.  This is another way of encouraging people to use the BAY / WHIT Cards.

WHIT Card Christmas Promotion – Free Advertising

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Joe PubClick and the Herne Bay and Coastal Town Council have recently teamed up to assist each other in the promotion of Free Advertising for Businesses initiatives.

The WHIT Card and the Free Advertising website www.joepubclick.co.uk will be promoted through local media during the run up to Christmas to encourage people to use their lcoal towns for their shopping this Christmas.

The first 100 cars that arrive between 9am and 11am will be given a voucher on arrival, which will be valid in participating shops for three hours.

Many of those same advertisers are featuring on Joe PubClick so make sure to make reference to the site so you may successfully claim their latest promotion in conjunction with the site. Please be aware that certain offers may be subject to terms and conditions set out by the advertiser.

The WHIT and BAY card are launching a brand new site shortly, hopefully the beginning of December. Direct links to your website will be possible just like you can do with Joe PubClick!

Would you like to alter your advert on Joe PubClick in time for Christmas?

The Bay Card – Herne Bay Businesses turning to Joe PubClick

Monday, October 12th, 2009

The BAY Card will Save You Money

The BAY Card is designed to save the local consumer significant amounts of money as well as help suport local businesses in Herne Bay. Joe PubClickhttp://www.joepubclick.co.uk was launched with a similar concept in mind; local businesses, trades and services can register and create a FREE advert to reflect any aspect of their business activity, including special offers, discounts, price promotions and/or any other added value services. In it’s infancy, Joe PubClick has also shared huge success with massive uptake from supporting businesses in Herne Bay, Whitstable and Canterbury.

BAY or WHIT Card holders are entitled to claim the relevant discount or promotion being offered by the supporters of the scheme, and of course the supporters are the very local businesses, trades and services in the town. Thousands of cards were printed and distributed around Herne Bay and Whitstable to give Joe Public an equal and fair chance of receiving one. Joe PubClick advertisers will also acknowledge and honor their promotions to any customer acknowledging their advert on the website. Currently, mobile phone graphics for all schemes are being circulated to raise awareness and profile – not to mention creating a bit of fun to boost local morale.

Businesses are being invited to join the scheme by emailing: chris.west@canterbury.gov.uk or by calling: 01227 742765. If you would like a BAY Card you can pick one up at the Council Offices in William Street, Wilbee & Son Estate Agents in Mortimer Street and other Bay Card businesses in the town or call 01227 742765.
